Paul H. Hasenyager, P.T.
Director

Paul graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1986. Since then he has continued his education with numerous courses including The Back School of Atlanta, and various specialty studies in knee and shoulder rehabilitation. He founded and directed Champion Physical Therapy and Sportsmedicine, Inc. before selling his practice to a large national rehabilitation company. After spending the next ten years working with other clinics he decided to return to private practice to incorporate the best ideas of his 16 years of experience into one clinic. In addition to working in physical therapy Paul spends his out of the office time training as a competitive road cyclist and working in the entertainment industry as an
actor and stuntman."

Larry Furry, P.T.A.
Co-Director

Larry completed his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Northridge. He then continued his education by becoming licensed through the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Pierce College. Since completing his education Larry has worked at the Southern California Center for Sportsmedicine in Long Beach, CA, one of the top orthopedic groups in Southern California. He continued his career with Southern California Orthopedic Institute and the Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Van Nuys, CA. He then continued at the Concentra Medical Center in Anaheim where he was promoted to Physical Therapy Department Director. From there Larry partnered with Paul Hasenyager, PT to create ActivBody Physical Therapy in 2002. In addition to his physical therapy career, Larry also does personal fitness training, coaches and plays hockey.

Kathryn Lugar, P.T.A.

Kathryn completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton with an emphasis in athletic training in May 2007. She then continued her education and became a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in July 2008.  Katie completed 3 clinical affiliations during her education. Her first clinical affiliation was at the Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, where she worked as an intern in the outpatient rehabilitation unit. Her second affiliation was at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, where she worked as an intern in the inpatient neuro-rehab unit with stroke and spinal cord injury patients. Her third affiliation was at Children’s Hospital of Orange, where she worked as an intern in the inpatient and outpatient pediatrics unit. Katie is eager and enthusiastic in helping others during their rehabilitation.
